Cathedral de Almeria
The beautiful 1524 Cathedral de Almeria is about 150 meters north of Casa Vicki in a giant plaza with marble mosaic flooring and stately palm trees everywhere.
Tapas Restaurants and Fine Dining
Almeria is a town of great restaurants, with a rich and vibrant Tapas culture. Many food establishments are within a minute or two walking distance
The nearest, La Hormiguita, has a food service arrangement with Casa Vicki for takeout, delivery, and in-restaurant reservations.
Plaza Vieja
The Plaza de la Constitución, also known as Plaza Vieja, is a square located in the historic center of the Spanish city of Almería. During the Muslim period, the souk was located here, consolidating its character as a square in the 19th century.
Transportation
Just a short walk from Casa Vicki is a taxi station next to the picturesque Fuenta de los Pesces – Fountain of the Fish. Cab rides in Almeria are very reasonable. The 15km ride to the airport, for example, is less than 20 Euros. The ride to the combined coach and train station, a mere 2 km from Casa Vicki, is about 5 Euros.
