Vicki was a best-selling author of English language Training textbooks for Oxford University and other publishers. Jay is a former television journalist, filmmaker, instructional designer, elected official and private pilot. He currently continues to manage the YouTube channel he and Vicki started in 2009 called “Simple English Videos” with hundreds of thousands of subscribers worldwide.

Jay maintains a residence on the top floor of the house. The ground floor has 3 bedrooms, including the master bedroom with ensuite bath, and two smaller bedrooms and an additional bathroom serving guests. The ground floor also includes the welcome salon and hotel office where guests register upon arrival. The middle floor contains the large living room, dining room, modern kitchen, outdoor terrace and laundry facility. Yet another large guest full bathroom is on this floor. The living room/dining room area becomes the Casa Vicki Home Theatre on a regular basis.
